Great news everybody: doctors may soon be prescribing more sex to those worried about their health.
According to research from the Dept of Epidemiology at the New England
Research Institute, men who only have sex once a month are more likely
to have heart
problems than those who romp twice a week.
In fact, men who claimed to have sex 2 or 3 times a week were found to
be 45% less likely to suffer heart disease than their less sexually
active peers.
According to the authors of the report, this is probably down to a
mixture of both the physical and emotional effects of sex on the male
body. Good news indeed!
This is not the first time that medical science has linked sexual
activity to good health. According to research from the National Cancer
Institute, men who ejaculate at least five times a week are less likely
to get prostate cancer too.
